How to fix an error posting of an item to the wrong account?

Situation: An item was sold, but it was posted to the wrong account. How do I fix?

​If the item has already been sold and posted to the wrong account. Here are the instructions to fix.

You'll need to go to the Sales screen and click "Single Entry" tab at the top.

Recreate the sale and be sure to put the sold date and click on the cost field too so that it populates. As that cost will be the payout, if it doesn't populate, they won't get paid for it.  See below for a how to.

You'll then need to delete the original sale. Go to the payout screen of the contract that is incorrectly posted to.

Click on the description of the item to highlight it in their activity, and then click the red "delete activity" button to delete that one sale.
